Ambassador of the Foundation. President of the International Academy for the Protection of Human Rights / Public Diplomat of the OSCE International Diplomatic Mission to Ukraine

Yuriy Gordienko is not just an Ambassador of our Foundation; he is a real hero who saves lives every day. Over the two years of full-scale war, he has evacuated more than 15 thousand people, most of them children.

Yuriy is the President of the International Academy for the Protection of Human Rights, a Commissioner of the Council of Europe of the International Commission for the Protection of Human Rights, and a recipient of the Presidential Award “For the Defense of Ukraine”.

The evacuation is only a part of his extensive work. Yuriy Gordienko takes comprehensive care of orphanages, orphans, and disabled children. He helps children from orphanages and boarding schools prepare for school and organizes a real holiday with gifts for them on the eve of St. Nicholas Day.

"Help is important not only because of material gifts but also because of the attention and care shown. It gives children faith in goodness and shows them that there are people with good hearts in the world. This plays a vital role in fostering a sense of community and mutual assistance," says Yuriy.

Together with Ukrainian artists, he organizes charity concerts for IDPs, orphans, and children of fallen soldiers. These concerts give people joy, faith in a better future, and a sense of unity.
